A case has been filed against two people including the MD of the company due to evidence of corruption in recruitment in the Life Insurance Corporation.
On Thursday, ACC Assistant Director Noor Alam Siddiqui filed a case in the integrated district office of the commission as the plaintiff.
The accused are Jiban Bima Corporation Managing Director (MD) Zahurul Haque and Assistant General Manager (Administration) Mohammad Mahbubul Alam.
ACC Secretary Md spoke about this at the press conference. Mahbub Hossain. He said that if the various agencies and departments of the government followed all the rules and regulations, no irregularities and corruption would have been possible. Hopefully, recruitment corruption will stop. Those who are involved in this corruption will also be investigated and action will be taken. ACC is constantly working to fight and prevent corruption. ACC will strictly monitor the irregularities and corruption in various government recruitment examinations.

In a press briefing at the ACC head office at Segunbagicha in the capital on Thursday, the ACC Secretary briefed the journalists on various aspects of the case filed against the two officials of Jeevan Bima.
He said they had been accused of colluding, abusing their power, and manipulating the order of questions and answers to appoint people of their choice.
ACC Secretary Mahbub Hossain said that complaints were made by calling the hotline of the ACC regarding appointment corruption. The commission’s enforcement team conducted a raid there after receiving a complaint in September. Several documents were collected from there. The case was later investigated further.
It is stated in the statement that the accused with ulterior motives changed the question papers and answer sheets provided by the Written Examination Committee for the posts of Senior Assistant, Office Assistant cum-Computer Numerologist, and Office Assistant in the process of recruitment in Life Insurance Corporation. Took illegal advantage by giving questions and answers to preferred candidates. The accused have committed an offense punishable under Section 409/109 of the Penal Code and Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947 by committing an act of abuse of public power vested in them and criminal breach of trust. In the statement of the case, it is mentioned that the irregularities and corruption took place from January 2020 to December 2021.
